what is clarity breathwork?

Clarity Breathwork is a conscious, connected breathing practice that supports emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and a deeper reconnection with the body. It is a gentle yet powerful form of breathwork that works by bringing awareness out of the thinking mind and into direct bodily experience. Through the breath, space is created for emotions, sensations, insights, and long held tension to surface and move, without force, analysis, or re living past events.

Clarity Breathwork is heart centred and trauma informed. Rather than seeking intensity or catharsis, it supports the body to open in a way that feels safe, contained, and respectful of each person’s nervous system. You remain fully conscious and aware throughout the practice.

The breath itself acts as a bridge between the conscious and unconscious, allowing what has been held beneath the surface to be gently revealed, felt, and integrated over time. Nothing is pushed. Nothing is forced. The body’s own intelligence guides the experience.

Each session is different because the breath reveals only what is needed in that moment. Your experience will naturally vary depending on what is happening in your life, what your body is holding, and what feels ready to be met. No two sessions are ever the same.

the clarity breathwork process

A Clarity Breathwork session is a carefully held journey lasting approximately 90 minutes, allowing time for settling, breathing, and integration. We begin with time to arrive, ground, and settle into the space together. This includes a gentle conversation about what has brought you to the session and what you are currently navigating in your life. I may ask simple questions about your lifestyle, wellbeing, emotional landscape, and personal history so that the session can be guided in a way that truly supports you. This initial check in helps us come to the heart of why you are here, while also establishing safety, trust, and clarity before moving into the breathing itself.

I then explain the structure of the session, the breathing style, and what support is available throughout. You will be invited to lie down or sit upright, depending on what feels most comfortable and supportive for your body. Cushions and blankets are used so you feel held and at ease.

The breathing itself is a conscious, connected breath, where the inhale and exhale flow into one another without pauses. This gentle rhythm supports the nervous system to soften and allows awareness to move out of habitual thinking and into the body. As the breathing deepens, patterns of tension, emotion, or protection may begin to unwind. Sensations, feelings, memories, or insights can arise, but there is no expectation or goal. The emphasis is always on staying connected to the body, feeling safe, and remaining present.

Music and gentle verbal guidance support the process, helping you feel held, supported, and safe while allowing space for your own inner experience. The breath has its own intelligence and guides the session in a way that is unique to you, revealing only what is ready to be felt or released.

After the breathing, we take time to rest and integrate. There is space to gently talk through anything that may have arisen, and where helpful, journalling or reflection can support this integration. We also discuss simple after care, so you feel supported as the effects of the session continue to unfold.

Integration is an essential part of the work, allowing the nervous system to absorb and settle what has been experienced.

trauma informed Breathwork

Safety is the foundation of this work. This work is offered in a trauma informed way, which means safety, choice, and body awareness are central at all times.

Being trauma informed means:

• You are never asked to push through discomfort
• You are encouraged to stay connected to your body and breath
• You are always welcome to slow down, adjust, or stop
• There is no expectation to access specific memories or emotions

Trauma informed breathwork recognises that the nervous system holds protection and survival patterns. Healing happens not through intensity, but through safety and presence. Throughout the session, I remain attuned to your breath, your body, and your experience. Support is offered verbally and energetically so that whatever arises can be met with care and containment. This approach makes Clarity Breathwork suitable for people navigating stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or the long term effects of trauma, as well as for those simply seeking deeper self connection and insight.

Clarity Breathwork is a gentle and powerful practice, and when facilitated with care and experience, it is considered very safe for most people.

Your safety and wellbeing are always the priority. For this reason, there are certain conditions where Clarity Breathwork may not be suitable, or where additional medical guidance is recommended before participating.

Clarity Breathwork may not be suitable if you have:

• Serious cardiovascular conditions, including a history of heart attack, stroke, aneurysm, or severe heart disease
• Uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Epilepsy or a history of seizures
• A detached retina or recent eye surgery
• Glaucoma
• Severe asthma that is not well managed
• Osteoporosis or recent significant physical injury or surgery
• A current diagnosis of psychosis, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder
• Are currently under the influence of recreational drugs or alcohol

Clarity Breathwork is not recommended during pregnancy.

Before booking, we will discuss your health history and any relevant medical conditions to ensure that this work is appropriate and supportive for you. If there is any uncertainty, I may ask you to seek medical guidance or recommend a gentler approach.
